Welcome to the Tennessee Camp for Diabetic Children (TCDC). TCDC is located on Lake Chickamauga in Soddy, Tennessee, just north of Chattanooga. The camp is committed to teaching children, ages 9 to 15, with diabetes how to live a normal and active lifestyle. TCDC incorporates educational sessions into daily activities by providing fun learning programs geared toward juvenile diabetes management.
The facilities used by TCDC are located at the Double G Ranch in Soddy, TN. The Double G has served as home for TCDC since the late 1950's. The buildings include a main lodge with dining hall & kitchen, an infirmary, central shower house, swimming pool, archery range, large play field, and an open air gymnasium. There are five cabins on the girls' side and five cabins on the boys' side. Each cabin sleeps nine campers and two counselors, as well as one cabin on each side with special activity staff.
